Sedco Communications has successfully launched a state-of-the-art centralised remote monitoring and management platform, providing real-time visibility and control over 80+ telecommunications sites across the Sandakan, Tawau, and Lahad Datu regions of East Sabah.
The platform integrates environmental monitoring sensors, power system telemetry, RF performance data, and CCTV feeds from each site into a unified dashboard accessible from SComm’s Network Operations Centre (NOC) in Kota Kinabalu.
Key capabilities include: real-time alarm notification and escalation, predictive analytics for equipment failure detection, automated reporting, and remote configuration management — significantly reducing the need for costly and time-consuming manual site visits.
“This platform transforms the way we manage our clients’ infrastructure,” said SComm’s Head of Innovation. “It allows us to be proactive rather than reactive — identifying issues before they cause downtime and delivering better outcomes for our clients.”
The remote monitoring platform is now available as a managed service offering for all SComm maintenance contract clients.
