Sedco Communications Sdn. Bhd. has successfully completed the installation and commissioning of a campus-wide fibre optic backbone network at a major government administrative campus in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
The project involved deploying over 15km of single-mode and multi-mode fibre optic cable across 8 interconnected buildings, along with the installation of core and distribution network switches, patch panels, and a central network operations room.
The new infrastructure delivers 10 Gigabit Ethernet backbone connectivity, significantly improving network performance and reliability for over 2,000 government staff. The project was completed on schedule and within budget, with all acceptance testing passed on the first attempt.
